Code Change Panel (CCP)

The Tasmanian Electricity Code (Code) previously required the Regulator to establish a Code Change Panel (CCP). The CCP was to consider matters referred to it by the Regulator or licensees including suggested changes to the Code or the identification of Code provisions in relation to which changes may be necessary or desirable. The CCP made recommendations to the Regulator in relation to such matters.

The CCP was a valuable body in the early development of the Code. However, administering Code change matters through the CCP was at times an unwieldy, resource intensive and lengthy process. Following the decrease in the scope of the Code after Tasmania's entrance to the National Electricity Market in 2005, the CCP was dissolved in 2009 and the Code was amended to provide for a more streamlined Code change process.

Previous Panel Recommendations can still be viewed.
